#10- Anything

Some of My Favorite looks of 2012: so far!!

Vivian Westwood created a collection for the Queen's Jubilee; these are a few of the looks.

Gucci- Fall 2012-
I particularly liked Gucci's collection for a few reasons; the dark colors and tones of both the couture and make-up, the use of capes! Also, the types of materials used were very interesting, especially for Gucci.

#8 Lookbook- DONNA KARAN

Donna Karan Spring 2012 Lookbook

I am in love with the tribal, casual, hippie theme of Donna Karan's Spring line.
This is something very different from what she is normally known for, and I think it's 100% on target for 2012.
The colors and patterns make this collection very cohesive and intriguing.

This is my favorite look of the whole collection

#7 Trunk Show

Chanel Spring Summer 2012 Trunk Show

Chanel has always brought elements of supreme design as well as imaginative beauty. This 2012 trunk show was no exception. Chanel pulled off a squeaky clean show with signature Lagerfeld genius built in at every turn.

#5 Fun Observation

Unseasonably Warm NYC

There was apparently a mad rush to any fast-fashion retailer this week due to the unseasonably beautiful weather. All the stores I went to had been picked clean, most of the merchandise was scattered and what ever was left of the crop pants were either too big or too small.

I was in the market for a few pairs of new crop pants from H&M because of the quality of their pants as well as the reasonable price.

#4 2012 Runway Hits

Louis Vuitton Runway Show Fall 2012

These looks coming down the runway from Louis Vuitton are aesthetically pleasing and gives way to the 2013 trends of cropped jackets, maxi-dresses and long coats.

Fashion Trend from NYC Streets

Reptile, as well as fur, are always somewhat in fashion.

From what I saw on the Manhattan streets in early February, there were a lot of interesting examples of each.

Here are some of my favorites:

There are many fashion blogs that give me pertinent insight into the trends and feelings in fashion; here are 3 of my favorites:

The Sartorialist

This site is very simple but can be "worked" to fit what ever mood you are in. For example: if you are craving vintage images, there is a vast selection of vintage photos to browse which is constantly growing.

SparklesNfun.com

A very well written, witty, and all around useful blog. I highly recommend checking this one out. It's a mix of pictures and "spring-boards" to other fashion related publications also written by the "20-something New York girl"

Nicola Fomichetti Tumblr!

This is not a conventional blog. This is a very specific, focused, and creatively arranged collection of images mainly in support of  Formichetti's colleague Lady Gaga and for his brand Mugler. A mix of music, abstraction, and fashion ranks very highly on my list of blogs.
